Team Musil - 2026 Cycle Across Illinois (Regna)

 In 2025, Illinois again lost too many brave police officers serving their communities.  The need to support our police family survivors remains great with each tragic loss.  ILCOPS (Illinois Concerns of Police Survivors) is an organization that supports the survivors (spouses, children, parents, siblings and other family members) of police officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line-of-duty. ILCOPS will always be there to support the surviving loved ones of our fallen police heroes when tragedy strikes.

In honor of Dekalb County Sheriff's Deputy Christina Musil (EOW 3-29-24) killed in the line of duty by an impaired motorist operating a large commercial truck, Team Musil will ride in the 2026 ILCOPS Cycle Across Illinois fundraiser.  This year, Team Musil has grown to 10 riders including Diane Caporaso (Christina Musil's mother), Dekalb County Sheriff Andy Sullivan, Deputy Tyler Rogman, Deputy Lexi Frankenberry, Deputy Sarah Westlake, DeKalb police officers Jonathan Bell and Chris Sullivan, retired Dekalb police officer Fred Busby, Huntley police officer SGT Scott Sullivan, and ASA Dan Regna.    

Please consider supporting Team Musil as we ride in the 2026 Cycle Across Illinois charity bike ride.  We will embark on our 4 day bike ride from downstate Edwardsville winding through Illinois and ending in Chicago.  Along the way, we will stop to visit surviving family members and police departments to honor our fallen police officers.

All funds raised on this charity bike ride will support ILCOPS (a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization) which provides resources to assist in the rebuilding of the lives of surviving families of law enforcement officers killed in the line-of-duty.  Illinois C.O.P.S. provides emotional and financial support as well as legal assistance to survivors of fallen officers.
